My research interests center around the impacts of global climate change on ecosystems and natural resources. One part of my dissertation research examines how climate change will affect plant species’ distributions. I specifically look at the potential changes in Jeffrey pine distribution at its lower-elevation treeline in eastern California. The other part of my dissertation research examines the potential impacts of climate change on water resources management in the Owens Valley of California. I am asking how water managers are preparing adaptation strategies to cope with changes in water resources availability. |
