My research broadly explores the prevalence and role of biodiversity at multiple scales in traditional vs. conventionally grown potato agroecosystems of the Venezuelan Andes, both in terms of pest management and soil erosion rates. I am also interested in examining the function of emergent, grassroots campesino organizations in the socialization and dissemination of conservation biological control knowledge and practices.
