Environmental Studies professor and director of the Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems (CASFS) Daniel Press was featured in the National Geographic article Top 10 Most Endangered Rivers in the U.S.
The article lists endangered rivers as well as some of the consequences of budget cuts that help restoration efforts. The proposed budget cuts on water conservation efforts “could eventually lead to cutbacks on water deliveries to Arizona, California, and Nevada in the years ahead.”
“Rather than taking small steps forward, the administration seems to be gleefully leaping backwards,” says Press. “The results will harm everyone in the United States, regardless of place or party.”
