Biography, Education and Training

I was born in China and received my B. Sc. in life sciences at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2016. With keen interests in quantitative ecology and interdisciplinary research, I joined Dr. Kai Zhu's lab at the Department of Environmental Studies, USCS, in 2018.

I am broadly interested in the responses of vegetation under global changes and changing disturbances regimes. In my current project, I aim to study how shifts in plant phenology keep pace with climate change in large spatial and temporal extents using long-term satellite remote sensing datasets. I hope to integrate quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources to study changes in plant phenology on local, regional, and global scales, in order to help anticipate and mitigate the negative impacts of global changes.
