Research Interests

Agroecology, population and community ecology, landscape ecology, insect interactions, biological pest control, urban gardens, food justice, critical race and ethnic studies, political ecology, human geography 

Biography, Education and Training

Azucena is a sixth-year PhD candidate in Dr. Stacy Philpott's lab. She studies the socio-ecology of urban gardens in the California central coast with special interests in biological pest control, community and population ecology, landscape ecology, and food justice.
