Agency Description:

The Black Lives Matter Garden is a safe space for black and indigenous people of color on campus. Over the years, the BLM Garden has grown to be a vital, critical community sanctuary that has been stewarded by hundreds of BIPOC farmers and landworkers who contributed their love, labor, stories, and offerings to the space. The garden has been a space for community gathering, for ceremony, story, ritual, and a place to organize and build together.

Intern Responsibilities:

BLM Garden Interns will support the growth and development of the BLM Garden. Interns will assist with a variety of stewardship care such as: developing signage and educational information for various plantings, research, community outreach and engagement, planting, weeding, watering, and more. Since this space focuses on community building and engagement, a portion of this internship will take place during weekend community workdays.

Shifts are flexible around students schedule Monday – Friday and will likely include weekend workdays
