Agency Description: 

The Norris Center offers a variety of internships; including curating and organization collections of; fungi, insects (entomology), plants (herbarium), and vertebrates (i.e. birds and mammals). The Norris Center also offers internships preparing animal specimens for museum taxidermy, and preparing animal specimens for skeletonization and re-articulation. In these internships you will learn about taxonomy, identification, life history, natural history museum techniques, and much more!

Intern Responsibilities: 

Depends on the specific internship. There are Fungi, Entomology, Herbarium, Taxidermy and Mammal Interns. See the Norris Center website for details.

Other Requirements: 

5-unit internships will only be considered for students that have successfully completed a 2- unit internship with the Norris Center.

Yes there are specific shifts for each internship offered through the Norris Center. Student should view the website for most updated information.
