My research interests are in extractivism, human-nonhuman interactions, and conservation. Working with Dr. Flora Lu, I focus more specifically on the interactions between the oil worker community, the indigenous communities of the Waorani, and the environment near the Yasuni National Park, Ecuador. My research draws from more-than-human theories, political ecology, assemblage theories, and multispecies ethnography.
